Reference        Description
A        Doll House, circa 1920.  Built for Jean Brown, daughter of Leslie Brown (who later became
the Chairman of the Board for Lenox China in Trenton).  When his daughter outgrew the doll
house, he passed it to friends who had a younger daughter.  The house was passed down in this
family to Mary Rita Ward Middleton, who, in 1977, gave the house to her friend, Audrey Smith.  Ms.
Smith provided the furniture and accessories for the house.

B        Melodeon, produced by George A. Chris, Buffalo, NY.  Similar to an organ (air is pumped
through bellows to produce sound).  Originally from the First Presbyterian Church on North Main St,
where it survived three fires.  The society had it restored.

C        Oak and Glass China Closet.  Inside:  Child’s key collection; ashtrays from different banks in
town; child’s tea set; collection of salt cellars; memorabilia of Cunningham’s Medical Hall.

D        Mahogany Revolving Bookcase, circa 1860.  Sheraton-style.

E        Violinist Chair.  Originally owned by the father of Grace Norton Rogers, who was an
accomplished violinist, this chair also served as Grace’s high chair.  Ms. Rogers taught at the
Mercer Street School for 44 years, starting in 1905.

Horsehair sofa.  Crazy quilt.

F        Drop-leaf table with turned and carved legs.

G        Edison Victrola.

H        Horsehair sofa.

I        Table.

J        Matching mantelpieces, painted to look like marble.

Life-sized mirror.  Marble edge to set personal items on, to adjust hair, etc.
