Preparing for the Porch Tour, volunteers try on
old-time fashions representing clothing from the
Civil War to the work clothes worn at local
dairies in the 1900's.
Volunteers including Dale Grubb
and Dr. "Doc" Martin will tell
stories about the area's history.
At the Ely House porch at 164 N. Main Street,
you'll be able to tour the circa 1850's house.
Home to the Hightstown-East Windsor Historical
Society, the house and museum will be open to
visitors. There is ample parking behind the house.
OCTOBER 19, 2008    11 AM - 2 PM
The Veranda Tour will be a fun celebration of local history.
There will be no charge. After the Memorial Day parade,
meet at the Methodist Church on Stockton Street to receive
a program and map. Bathrooms are available!

The Veranda Tour is
sponsored by the
Hightstown-East
Windsor Historical
Society, the
Hightstown
Preservation
Commitee and Dan
